Are autoimmune diseases genetic?

I recall a familiar game played with children where the adult grabs the child’s hands in a playful manner and says stop hitting yourself while having the playful child pat his or her cheeks. This seems like the basis of an autoimmune condition. Stop hitting yourself. Autoimmune diseases are various in their expression and many question are autoimmune diseases genetic. Diseases such as Type 1 diabetes, lupus, fibromyalgia, MS, etc. Hashimoto’s are all autoimmune based conditions just to name a few all have autoimmune components to them. Many conditions stem from autoimmune roots such as skin conditions, joint conditions, and even neurohormonal imbalances are contributed to autoimmune diseases and as Hippocrates all disease begin in the gut.

Environmental factors such as infections, chemicals, solvents, and even the standard western diet are all contributing factors to the development of autoimmune conditions. The body these days is being bombarded with so many things that it is not accustomed to dealing with, such as heavy metal toxicities, GMOs, chemical substances, etc. The body was not made to identify food-like substances and break this food like substances down for energy. Processed foods and the standard American diet has wreaked havoc on our digestive systems, which house the majority of our immune, neurological, and hormonal systems. The body must overcome these challenges on a daily basis aside from the question are autoimmune diseases genetic. The more unconscious we are about what we are putting in our bodies, the more susceptible our bodies will succumb to a disease process. Unfortunately, many of us remain unconscious about our health and what goes into our bodies for some time. When we wake up, it is sometimes as a result of the development of a disease instead of shifting to a paradigm of preventing disease.

Processed foods and food-like substances are one thing that we ingest on a daily basis, and unfortunately, we are also ingesting chemicals as well as heavy metals on a regular basis as well. We are exposed to these things on a daily basis through our air, our water, our clothing, building materials, pretty much anything and everything we expose ourselves to these days have some level of toxicity within it. Detoxification of these items is necessary, yet many people do not detox in healthy ways, leaving them feeling sicker, weaker, and pretty much defeated. Since we have such an abundance of toxins swimming in our environment, which are now in our bodies, care must be taken as we are getting those things out. Gentle detoxes such as Epsom salt baths, infrared dry sauna treatments, and steam sessions can be the answer to allow the body to remove these toxins without disrupting an unstable immune system slowly. A person with an autoimmune condition really cannot handle too much instability within the system and must be careful when deciding to remove things out of the body. Genetically, many toxic agents and immune system instabilities are passed down both in the mothers umbilical chord, however the baby must be susceptible to these toxic substances.

Toxic emotions also plague on the autoimmune body which can also tie into the idea to the question are autoimmune diseases genetic. Toxic emotions can be passed own for generations. Repressed or buried emotions, unprocessed emotions, traumatic events, toxic relationships, lack of self-worth, and self-esteem all play into the development of autoimmune conditions. On some level, I believe this is where it begins before we can actually see it or have physiological symptoms. Perhaps it begins with a person with a difficult childhood, and that person represses memories, thoughts, experiences, emotions, etc. in an effort to survive. They continue on this survivalist path, ignoring and possibly avoiding emotional upsets as they are unskilled or unwilling to process these emotions out in a healthy manner. They become distracted with work, school, family demands, and self-neglect their own emotional healing. The weight of these emotions may cause them to pick up unhealthy habits such as eating sugar, overworking, over-exercising, being overwhelmed, etc. These unhealthy habits lead to unhealthy behaviors such as skipping meals, not eating healthy foods, or overeating. Again the question is posed are autoimmune disease genetic and the answer is that many of the unhealthy habits relative to food is passed down for generations. Physiologically, these foods create even further imbalances within the body and then depending on the processing of the foods, chemical agents exposures begin to occur. The father of western medicine, Hippocrates all disease begins in the gut. Now not only is the body open and susceptible now, but we are also feeding the body disease-causing agents that eventually, over time, suppress the immune system to create disease.

Many times people assume that disease happens instantly. Genetic predisposition does play a role but not a clear answer to the question are autoimmune diseases genetic. They ignored the symptoms and signs their body is telling them to pay attention. It may begin with a lack of sleep, sluggishness, blood sugar dysregulation, etc. and then eventually it leads to bigger, more long-lasting events as now the body, as well as the mind, have to dig itself out of the mess it has created. Again, the belief of Hippocrates all diseases begins in the gut reigns true even today. When working to heal these matters, it is much like peeling back an onion, layer by layer. The body must learn to heal itself gently and effortlessly over an extended period of time. Unfortunately, when I tend to see people, it is after they have done considerable damage self-treatment combined with harsh allopathic approaches. The allopathic approaches may have stabilized the symptoms, but it has driven the cause deeper into the tissues, so now a practitioner such as myself must clean out the suppressive treatments along with getting to the root causes. People even over supplement or look to find “miracle cures” to heal every ill and believe just because it is natural, it is unharmful to the body. Over supplementing harms the body because now the body has to not only deal with the already overtaxing items to their immune system such as infections, chemicals, heavy metals, etc. it also needs to process you’re not such helpful supplements.

To be clear, supplements are there to support the body. Knowledge in biochemistry, in my humble opinion, is necessary to make appropriate recommendations. Otherwise, you are simply throwing paint up against the wall to see what sticks. I am also not an advocate for retail-based supplements as they often do not go through as much rigorous testing as neutraceuticals. I have also learned that if you load the supplements appropriately, there is a strong likelihood of removing the supplements as the body becomes stronger. I often tell patients there is nothing outside of self that is stronger than self, not even a supplement. A supplement supports that’s all; it does not do the bodies work for it. A supplement also does not answer the question relative to this article, are autoimmune disease genetic.

Working with people with autoimmune conditions is a complex process. Many times a person has years of layers to unwrap, and some may not be as open to unwrap so many deep-seated layers. Unwrapping those layers is key to healing the body once and for all otherwise, even if you heal the physiological aspect of the illness, the person’s mental, emotional, and spiritual state that created the dis-ease, to begin with, will bring back on the physiological processes. I do stand by Hippocrates all disease begins in the gut, but I also believe it begins spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. I also believe that genetics provides the foundation and then our habits, lifestyles, and choices serve as the fuel to the fire but I don’t think there is a simple answer to the question are autoimmune disease genetic. How much of our perceptions, ideas, and beliefs did we inherit from our parents? How much of their behavior do we continue to mirror? How do their genes affect our ability to heal, some would say less than 30%. This is why I tend to work with a person for at least one year. It takes time to unwrap these complexities and get to the root causes of each and every case. It takes a while, but with a little patience and some persistence, anyone can find the healing they are seeking in life.

Natural Cure for Autoimmune Disease | Reverse Autoimmune Conditions

7.0 Naturally healing an autoimmune disease

In this day in age, we are running all the time. We are running to keep up with our jobs, running to keep up with our families, running to keep up with our commitments, obligations, and the like. We are often losing ourselves in our work, and our various life commitments. We neglect sleep for business, replace work for fun, and are often fearful that we are not good enough in that we will not live up to the various expectations to which we place on ourselves. It is not a wonder that autoimmune diseases are a growing phenomenon as we place ourselves in many situations to which we feel judged, criticized, unloved, underappreciated and frustrated. Taking handfuls of medications to treat various conditions may be helpful for some, yet a vast majority of people do not enjoy the numerous doctor’s visits, synthetic substances, and a fist full of pill regimens unnatural or otherwise.

Naturally healing an autoimmune disease takes time and patience. The same veracity that one has used to “do” their life is not the same as to which has allowed a person to arrive at this point in their health. Perhaps look at this as a way the body uses to slow you down a bit and pay attention. It knows that if you continue to run at much speed it will not be able to perform and the signs are looming for years before they stop you in your tracks. The lungs show signs of respiratory distress, the digestive tract spins in knots, the brain becomes forgetful, the thyroid develops imbalances, the muscles and bones ache, while the skin may breakout almost in defiance. The body shows signs of aging and wear and tear to the point you can no longer defend it and shrug it off as old age. 50 is not old by the way, and neither is 70. Quality of life depends on how well you take care of yourself based on the food you eat (or don’t eat) the amount of water you drink, the exercise you participate in, the stress management techniques you may use (and denial is not one of them). Life truly is a collection of adventures strung together piece by piece. Naturally healing and taking back your health is no different.

7.0 Naturally healing an autoimmune disease 1

With any new adventure, there is a starting place and a beginning point. Sometimes that is when my office receives a phone call and schedules an appointment at the pain of staying the same has become greater than the pain of discovery. They say that if you do what you have always done you are going to get what you have always gotten and healing from an autoimmune condition is no different. Self-blame, shaming, anger, and hostility towards self and others will not get you out of this place you may find yourself in right now. Eating junk food, and skipping sleep will also not get you out. Drinking water yet loading up on alcohol will also not prove to heal you. Yet deliberate action step by step will facilitate the healing you are looking for in life. Naturally healing is not a quick fix, magic solution it takes deliberate action of letting go what no longer serves you and stepping into new paradigms of hope, love, and truth. The body will heal only once the mind, body, and soul heal, not before. You can throw a mound of supplements at the problem, and it still won’t help relieve until you realize you are not the problem, You are not your collection of decisions, choices, failed attempts in life. You are not the sum of your failures, you are not your intellect, you are not your emotions, and you most certainly are not a man-made label known as a disease. You are a child of G-D and a beautiful light being able to heal yourself from anything and everything that you are presented with in life and I am here to help you. I have spent my entire life in study. I truly love what I do. I love the magic and the miracle of it. I love the serenity and peace of it. I love the witness of it. I love the beauty of it and most of all I love the people of it. When a patient has a breakthrough where a lifetime of suffering falls off of them that’s when I know I have done a good job. When a mother is able to finally let go of their child and allow them to be the image of G-D for them, then she finds peace. Let’s get real, the traditional model of run a lab and give a pill (even a natural one) doesn’t quite do it, but really being honest of what plagues, ails you keeps you up at night, now that is the magic to which we transform darkness into life and to create natural healing. I often say that healing the physical body is pretty easy it is the rest of the person that can prove challenging. People experience resistance, anger, hostility, longing, confusion, frustration, and all sorts of emotions during their process of healing until they are willing to trust their leader in the process. I am a leader in your process of healing if you so choose. I am incredibly gifted in this space and I was born to help facilitate people’s healing and I would be honored if you chose me as your guide and teacher in the process. Be well, be healthy, be happy, and be peaceful knowing that help is just a step away.

How to Overcome and Heal From an Autoimmune Disease

6.0 How to overcome and heal from an autoimmune disease

These days many people experience the effects of autoimmune diseases. Watching a loved one struggle and suffer from pain, inflammation, and debilitating suffering is not a fun experience to watch and can sometimes leave people feeling helpless. Not to mention, the person who has manifested the autoimmune disease. Often times they are frustrated, overwhelmed, riddled with multiple symptoms that are often unexplained with various doctors, and specialists abound all scratching their heads struggling to find the cause of various symptoms. I am here to simplify this for you.

Autoimmune disease is multifaceted, meaning that they are not just a single entity, or effect a single system, they affect all systems of the body. Healing these various systems take time, attention, and a multifaceted approach if someone is to find relief in their suffering. There is relief from the burden of pain, both emotional as well as physical anguish created in this dis-ease process. The first thing to do in the process of healing is recognizing this experience as a gift, which can be hard to do when you are being limited by the physical experience. Begin to recognize this experience as a spiritual awakening to which you choose to surrender to in order to create healing for yourself. This will provide you with the will necessary in order to do the physical aspects of healing. Forgiveness practices help transform darkness that has been buried deep within the tissues. As we suppress certain thoughts, feelings, ideas, and perceptions we then internalize them deep within our tissues, thus creating suffering or diseases. The study of disease is known as pathology, and the root word of pathology is pathos, which means suffering. If you truly want to shift your autoimmune disease you first must begin to shift away from suffering. This shows up as any insecurity, sadness, frustration, disappointment, resentment, anger and the like. These I refer to as low-frequency emotions. These emotions are debilitating and can hold us back from truly living powerfully in the present moment. As mentioned in previous educations on this topic autoimmune diseases often result as people are picking themselves apart in an unhealthy manner. They often judge and criticise themselves as well as others harshly and are unwavering in the injustices to which they see in the world.

Even still, there is a way out if you are willing to let go of what you think you may know about autoimmune conditions. What we have been taught is the absolute truth about illness as a whole. Illness is not just a physical experience. It is a spiritual, mental, emotional as well as physical experience. It not only affects the person experiencing but he loved ones surrounding the individual. It affects the person’s family and friends in a profound way, leaving them faced with their own humanity. This truly can be the greatest wisdom and the greatest teacher as the person actively decided to overcome this condition. One of the reasons I truly love what I do is that I am privileged to watch the miracle f G-D through every person determined to live a healthy and hopeful life as he intended. G-d does not want us to experience lack, heartache and health loss quite opposite actually. He wants us to experience health, wealth, abundance and prosperity in health and through all things if we are willing to let go of what may be holding us back from what we truly desire. I am not suggesting that this is an easy process of discovery or that every person I meet is open to the experience, I am simply suggesting another perspective in health and healing that I have studied and experienced for more than 17 years. I have always been a seeker of truth, guided by the creator to serve his people transforming all those seeking healing. I am grateful that you have read my perspective and hope that if you are suffering or know of a loved one suffering let them know that help is simply a phone call away. We also offer classes in order to educate and deepen the understanding of natural healthcare and how anyone can live from a holistic perspective.

How to Stop Attacking Yourself: A Guide to Health Autoimmune Diseases

4.0 How To stop attacking yourself

Many people judge themselves, critics themselves and often beat themselves up. Remorse, grief, lessons from the past can often come up and haunt people in the present moment. Being unwilling to let go of these ideas, concepts, emotions, from the past creates a lack of unforgiveness in self which can translate to other people. Have you ever noticed that if you become reactive about something presently, it seldom has anything to do with the present moment? Perhaps if you were feeling more forgiving of yourself for previous decision there is a possibility that you may be more forgiving of others in the present moment. I want to encourage everyone to develop a practice of self-forgiveness as this constant picking of yourself apart can translate into an autoimmune condition where the body follows the mind and physiologically begins to pick at its own tissues.

The immune systems major job is to identify self from non-self and once it identifies non-self it goes to work to destroy it using our immune cells. Let’s say if we have been exposed to a bacteria, the body then identifies that the bacteria is a foreign body and then goes to work to identify and attack the bacteria. However, over repeated exposures to non-self in the form of pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, as well as environmental stressors such as heavy metals and chemicals the body is busy trying to distinguish between non-self. Conveniently, we bury unwanted emotions, such as anger, frustration, sadness, regret in various parts of the body. These lower frequency emotions inhibit the function of these areas and thus the body has a difficult time distinguishing self from non-self. Imagine these negative emotions weighing down the functions of these areas, leaving them more susceptible to pathogenic invasions. The regret and lack of forgiveness of self that you may be carrying to protect your heart could manifest into calcifications of the heart which then generates inflammatory processes. Combine a poor diet with a feeling of unworthiness and anger or frustration of self now you are on your way to generating a cardiac event.

4.0 How To stop attacking yourself 1

However, if you choose to learn spiritual lessons presented to you instead of resisting them, judging them or others, while processing through the emotions not as a victim yet as a powerful creator meant to turn darkness into life forgiving self and others now you are on your way to not only preventing an autoimmune disease but perhaps eliminating one. I’m not suggesting that it is that easy, or perhaps I am. Who says that the elimination of dis-ease has to be that difficult?. Who says that you are not a powerful creator? Who says that you are not able to heal yourself? Who says that you cannot love yourself unconditionally? And finally who says you cannot transform your health from a collection of symptoms to whole health? I propose that you can, and am able to show you how. Doctor in Latin means teacher and that is my job to teach you how to heal yourself by creating the environment to which healing can occur. Remember that I love you and I am here for you if you are ready to transform your health. Freedom is just a phone call away!
