So these health tips are all about how you can reduce your stress in less than 10 minutes. The first step is about recognizing your breath at the moment really being present with your breathing. That’s just inhaled and exhaled. just catching your breath in the moment can really help a lot of times we just let our breath kind of run wild.

The second step is about getting back into your body. When we listen to our body. We’re fully present and engaged in what our bodies are telling us. Even if it doesn’t feel good. We can feel the pain.

We can feel tightness, stiffness, or even really when we tune in instead of tune out to our body which helps us to become more aggressive. The next step is reframing.

So whatever it is you’re stressing about shifting that to something else. So as a, for instance, I’m stressed about my bills, but I know that they’re always paid, simple reframes can really help you to reduce your stress in less.

MEET OUR NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR

At the time I had no idea that I would be a Naturopathic Doctor. My parents are both scholars, multi-degreed, and both instilled in me the desire to learn as well as think for myself. My mother was a nurse and is now a social worker, so for me, caretaking was considered common practice when helping people. She worked with a variety of patients in a variety of settings and while in school, also brought me with her to learn. As a young girl, I sat in organic chemistry classes and ran around labs learning complex structures prior to my maturity. This really created a deep understanding of how the body works on a cellular level and unknowingly prepared me to be a functional medicine practitioner.

Hey welcome back. Now it’s time for another wellness minute with Dr. Erica seal from holistic family practice originally.

When we’re living a holistic lifestyle, we look for tips to optimize our health, ensuring that we’re having physical movement, moving our bodies, even if it’s just a little bit even a good some gentle stretching really helps our overall general health new mobility.

Meditation can allow you to connect your mind to your body. So often we are disconnected from our mind and our body is unaware of what our body is telling us. When we sit down for 15 minutes a day, we’re able to connect, slowing down our minds and allowing us to listen to our bodies.

Different resources can be found online as well as in your local community as to how to meditate so that you can be more intuitive and you can know what your body is telling you to be proactive with your health.

Scheduling and setting up downtime for us to reduce our stress is also really important so that we’re not always busy, busy, busy, going, going back into the body and this constant stress response. Those are some of the things that you can do to optimize your health gently, effortlessly, and holistically.
