4.0 Advanced Detoxificaion Treatments 2We do not often discuss our advanced detoxification services in our practice, so we decided to write a blog post dedicated to our advanced detoxification services. The purpose of our basic detox services is to introduce the body to the detoxification process. It does not add anything to the body just uses the body’s own ability to detoxify itself. The advanced detox services begin to add naturally occurring substances in the body in order to bring the body back into balance.

Our advanced detoxification services use mud, salt, bentonite clay, castor oil, aloe vera, and aromatherapy to further enhance the detoxification experience while drawing on the healing properties of the natural substance.

Dead Sea Mud taken from the Dead Sea enhances the body with minerals. People that have hormone imbalances often find themselves mineral deprived. We combine this treatment with our steamy wonder canopy and warm towels. Dead Sea Minerals are brushed on the body and then are steamed off for 45 mins. Once you are taken out of the temperature controlled steam, the excess mud is taken off of the body leaving the skin feeling soft and rejuvenated.

Mineral Scrub is a natural exfoliate combined with various mineral types of mineral salts. We have about three varieties of mineral salts from all over the world. Our Red Alaea is our traditional Hawaiian Red Clay that has a beautiful color with a high iron content. The salt also contains over 80 trace minerals, which are found naturally in seawater. Pink Himalayan Sea Salt is a common hand harvested minimally processed sea salt that contains 84 minerals and trace elements including magnesium, calcium, copper, potassium, and iron. These salts provide essential minerals, trace elements, balances electrolytes, while also supporting proper nutrient absorption, elimination, etc. This salt is a fine salt and is often very gentle on dry or sensitive skin. The Hiwa Kai Black Sea Salt is also a Hawaiian salt that contains activated sea salt derived from the ash of the volcanos. This salt is a heavier detoxifying salt that has been known to stimulate the immune system while reducing effects of edema. All of our sea salt treatments are done in our steam room and are also combined with the steam wonder as well as a warm towel.

Our Detox Body Wraps are our most popular advanced detox service for its ability to reduce inches quickly. All bandages are soaked in bentonite clay and then can be combined with any of our upgraded advanced detoxification options. Added castor oil application is helpful in reducing cellulite on the surface of the skin, as well as aloe vera provides cooling effects to damaged skin from either the sun or other hot substances. The body is wrapped in the bentonite wraps and the person is provided a wet or dry option to increase blood flow circulation and metabolism. This treatment helps to detoxify the body quickly and so it is encouraged to drink plenty of water for this advanced detoxification service.

The last advanced detoxification service that I will review is our herbal steams. Using our herbal medicine wall, the naturopath will determine the herbal steam blend that is most appropriate for the case. Often many people are seeking a desired benefit to support their immune system, metabolism, pain, and inflammation, or a deeper detoxification. We either use a combination of essential oils and herbs to achieve the desired benefit and it is placed with the steam generator for a relaxing and rejuvenating steam session. This can be a simple upgrade from a basic detox service which provides no aromatherapy or herbal additive.

Our advanced detox services help the skin in various ways. It is recommended all guests of the practice begin with the basic detoxification services and as they become a more advanced upgrade to add additional detoxification practices to their regimen. Currently, we offer a first visit promotion to new guests to our practice or 5 basic detoxes for $49, just simply mention reading this blog post.
